The subject has an arrest warrant issued last February for the crimes of criminal association, extortion and express kidnapping in Tabasco, as well as a Red Notice issued in July by Interpol Mexico.

According to the text, the participation of the Financial Intelligence Unit and the National Intelligence Center was fundamental in this operation, as well as the intelligence exchange made possible by the new National Investigation and Intelligence System Law.

“This arrest is proof of the commitment of zero tolerance to corruption of the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum,” the statement highlights.

The capture adds to a series of blows against organized crime since the beginning of the current government on October 1.
