Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh expressed his regret and surprise at the US administration’s obstruction of the initiative, approved by the 14 other members of that body.
Rudeineh stated that the US veto emboldens Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to continue his crimes against the Palestinian people and defy international law.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), in turn, criticized Washington’s decision, which it considered “a green light for (Israel) to continue the genocide, destruction, and massacres against civilians.”
The PFLP recalled that the United States is the main supplier of arms to Israel.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) stated that the White House’s stance reflects “blatant complicity and full association in the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation.”
Hamas called on the world to continue pressure on the Netanyahu government, which it described as a war criminal.
