Latin American journalists share with the Communist Party of China

Beijing, Sept 22 (Prensa Latina) Around twenty executives and journalists from Latin America and the Caribbean met with Ma Hui, deputy head of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Among those present, Alejandro Gomez, vice president of Prensa Latina, who thanked the government and the CPC for their support of the island, while noting that this month marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Gomez, who emphasized that Cuba was the first nation in Latin America to establish diplomatic relations with the new China, highlighted the ties between the governments and communist parties of both nations, describing them as excellent.

In particular, he mentioned the recent visit of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel to the Asian giant on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese aggression and the defeat of global fascism.

Gomez expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to explore this country thanks to the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Daily, which allowed them to explore historical and cultural aspects and the country’s remarkable development.

Ma Hui reiterated China’s condemnation of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, as well as Beijing’s rejection of unilateral sanctions.

The official also condemned the rise of protectionism and the application of tariffs, which contradict the rules of the World Trade Organization and international standards.
