Chileans to attend Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba

Santiago, Chile, Sep 28 (Prensa Latina) A Chilean delegation is getting things ready to take part in Mexico in the 9th Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, which is intended to coordinate responses to the tightening of the US blockade and media campaigns against the island.

Juan Bronzic, a member of the Solidarity Movement, informed Prensa Latina that 16 Chilean colleagues will attend the event from October 9 to 12.

We’re moving forward with new ideas to, along with other countries, conclude with positive resolutions that benefit Cuba, which has suffered an economic, commercial, and financial siege for more than 60 years, Bronzic said. A recent report presented by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, between March 2024 and February 2025 alone, the US blockade caused damage to the Caribbean nation estimated at approximately 7.556 billion dollars.

Bronzic remembered that this unjust policy affects all spheres of life for the Cuban people, including healthcare, education, transportation, and electricity.

The Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Chile organized a lunch this weekend to raise funds for the island.

Rosario Rodriguez, First Secretary in charge of political affairs at the Cuban Embassy in Chile, Consul Vladimir Guerra, members of the organization, and other groups attended the activity.
