Cuban tourism seeks to strengthen ties at FIT 2025

Buenos Aires, Sep 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuba seeks to strengthen relations with its business partners at Buenos Aires International Tourism Fair (FIT 2025), which currently bets on the island as an ideal tourist destination to attract vacationers, said Pilar Alvarez, Marketing Director at Cuba's Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR).

Alvarez leads a delegation of 10 industry executives who are taking part in this event, which brings together more than 1,700 exhibitors from the host country and 51 other nations from September 27 to 30.

MINTUR executive told Prensa Latina “We showcase our tourism offerings to Argentines, so they can enjoy our unique values and, above all, the wonderful beaches that are distinguished from others in the Caribbean by their fine, weed-free sand.”

Cuban destinations allow families to enjoy a pleasant stay with a range of activities and excursions they can take part in at each selected site, she said.

The executive noted, “Cuba has a sustainable, inclusive, and accessible tourism system that attracts visitors from different nations and repeat visitors. A significant number of national travel agencies and hotel chains are at the fair, ready to promote all their tourism offerings.”

Cuba was recently once again selected as the Best Cultural Destination in the Caribbean, “which compels us to continue showcasing our most important and unique values in the region, as it offers a wide range of tourism possibilities and offerings,” she said.

Alvarez explained that Cuba has nine World Heritage sites, 277 national monuments, four intangible cultural heritage sites, and 17 national cultural heritage sites. All of this confirms the island’s vast cultural heritage.
