In a statement, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Occupied Territory expressed its dismay that “the Israeli army is destroying Gaza City, forcing Palestinians to flee and then killing them as they seek refuge in Central Gaza, especially in and around the An Nuseirat camp.”

According to the agency, Tel Aviv intensified its attacks and in the last five days at least 12 attacks were registered against tents, homes and markets, which caused the death of at least 89 Palestinians, including many women and children.

It also denounced that people collecting firewood were attacked from unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Office recalled that “Israel has completely blocked the entry of cooking gas since March 2025, forcing the population to rely on firewood, mainly derived from flammable debris from destroyed buildings and broken furniture”.

On the other hand, he reiterated Israel’s obligation to refrain from targeting civilians, as well as from the use of live ammunition against them.

In addition, he expressed concern over the obstacles to bringing humanitarian aid to the Strip.
