Then Lazo and Thanh Man, along with their respective delegations, held a meeting prior to tomorrow’s Second Meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee.

The Cuban representative, also a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, on his official visit to Vietnam included a meeting with Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.

During his stay in this capital, in addition to co-chairing the meeting of the Interparliamentary Cooperation Committee, Lazo will hold official talks with the country’s highest authorities and pay tribute at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, as well as to President Ho Chi Minh at the mausoleum erected in his memory.

Next Thursday, the delegation of Cuban deputies will travel to southern Ho Chi Minh City, where they will carry out an extensive program that includes meetings with the territory’s key leaders and an exchange of experiences on socioeconomic development and the implementation of special policies in that city, among other activities.

Lazo and his delegation will also visit Hung Yen province, where they will tour the facilities of the industrial parks and high-tech agricultural production zones located there.

Announcing the visit of the President of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang noted that the legislatures of both countries maintain relations of friendship and close, substantive collaboration.
