This Tuesday, diplomats and other members of the island’s mission in Quito ratified the Declaration of the Revolutionary Government of Cuba against the escalation of actions by the US government “to justify military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.”
The document urgently calls for preventing military aggression, based on false narratives promoted by the United States against Venezuela, which compromises regional security and the proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
The Cuban ambassador to Ecuador, Basilio Gutierrez, expressed his categorical support for the Bolivarian nation, besieged by Washington’s aggressive policies.
In Cuba, all workplaces, student centers, and communities opened the books for a massive signature process.
The initiative was announced by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, during his recent meeting in Caracas with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
