The provincial coordinator, cardiologist Adrian Baez Arias, told Prensa Latina that they are currently getting ready to commemorate, on October 21, the first anniversary of the inauguration of the institution named after the Cuban soldier who sacrificed his life in defense of Angolan sovereignty, and are organizing a scientific event to this end.

The event will allow for the sharing of experiences from the work carried out by all the specialists during this period, and will be a great opportunity to present the results of the work done over the past 12 months in the province of Cuanza Sur, primarily at the Comandante Raul Diaz-Arguelles hospital, Baez Arias noted.

He added that this is a teaching hospital, so an important part of what Cuban specialists do is the training of future Angolan professionals who will continue the work done and guarantee services to the population.
