During a meeting held in the context of the official visit of the Cuban foreign minister to the African country, the interlocutors highlighted the existing ties of friendship and solidarity.
“I conveyed Cuba’s interest in deepening bilateral relations, in terms of expanding economic, commercial, and cooperation ties,” reported the highest representative of Cuban diplomacy on his profile on the social network X.
Upon his arrival the day before at Bole International Airport, Rodriguez was received by the Minister of State for Water and Energy, Asfaw Dingamo, and by the Deputy Director General for Europe and America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mulie Tarekegn.
During his stay in Ethiopia, the Cuban Foreign Minister will meet with senior government officials and members of the African Union Commission, as part of a concerted effort to strengthen the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Also participating in the meeting were the Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Meylin Suarez, and the Cuban Ambassador to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernandez.
