The Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) condemned, in a statement, the increase in mistreatment and harassment committed against female prisoners in those prison centers.
The institution cited, among them, torture, starvation, medical neglect, and sexual assault, particularly body searches, harassment of women, threats of rape, systematic repression, and raids that include beatings and humiliation.
As part of the repression campaign, the organization highlighted that those female prisoners are forced to kneel while handcuffed.
The Club underscored that such violations include methods of psychological torture practiced from the first moments of detention, according to several testimonies.
The Palestinian Prisoner Information Office recently denounced the inhumane conditions that female detainees suffer in Damon, where most are held.
