The Venezuelan Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Pena, welcomed the Cuban deputies, accompanied by the Cuban Ambassador to Caracas, Jorge Luis Mayo, and the President of the Venezuela-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, Edgardo Ramirez.
Pena, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, also received the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister, Denis Moncada, and the First Vice President of the Nicaraguan Parliament, Arling Alonso.
“These delegations are arriving in Venezuela to participate in an important agenda, which will allow us to coordinate efforts in favor of peace,” wrote the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty on his Telegram account.
The president of Venezuela’s parliament, Jorge Rodriguez, announced a few days ago that the Greater Caribbean Parliamentary Meeting will be held in Caracas. Its purpose is to reject the warmongering threats from the United States against the Bolivarian Revolution.
This meeting stemmed from the working groups of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, in its various chapters, and brings together the broad spectrum of Venezuelan society without political or religious distinctions.
Rodriguez stated that the parliamentarians’ meeting will reiterate the call for the declaration of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace and condemn the belligerent actions of the United States and the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago for her subservient subservience to Washington.
