The Fototeca de Cuba (Cuban Photo Library), its main organizer, opens an exhibition on the Brazilian artist Pierre Verger, curated by Alex Baradel, Concha Fontenla, and Lissette Solorzano, and screens the documentary “Mensajero Entre Dos Mundos” (Messenger Between Two Worlds), at Factoria Habana art gallery, in the Old Havana municipality.
The country’s cultural institutions will host, throughout this month, exhibitions, keynote speeches, workshops, and tributes, celebrating the diversity and dialogue of Cuban and international photography, the event announced in a statement.
Main and collateral exhibitions feature prominently in the program, available on social media, which includes the work of 202 artists and institutions such as the Saint Francis of Asis Convent Minor Basilica, the Jose Marti National Library, the ALBA Culture Center in Havana, the Ludwig Foundation, and the University of the Arts.
A talk with master photographer Ossain Raggi, the launch of Lvnle Cubano magazine, a workshop on night and pinhole photography, and a screening of the documentary “Cinco Visiones De Una Realidad” (Five Visions of a Reality-2025) are included, among other activities, this month.
