On social media, he noted that this was the first visit by a Cuban head of government to the Kingdom.
“These agreements will be monitored at the highest level, within the context of bilateral relations that are approaching their 70th anniversary,” he wrote.
He also stated that the agenda covered investment, tourism, and aeronautics, which will strengthen economic and trade ties between Havana and Riyadh.
In another message, he referred to the very heartwarming meeting that concluded his agenda with Cuban collaborators present in nine of the country’s 13 regions and with the State Mission in Riyadh.
He acknowledged the humananistic work of the health professionals, which was crucial in strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
During his participation in the IX Future Investment Initiative Forum, an event that Cuba attended for the first time, Marrero Cruz met with businessmen with long-standing commercial ties to the Caribbean country and with companies interested in the business opportunities presented by the Cuban delegation.
