The high-ranking official, who reported on the situation on the Donetsk front via his Telegram channel, specified that Russian units are continuing their advance, maintaining the initiative, and are capable of a successful offensive, “pushing out” Ukrainian units in this direction.
Pusilin added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to deploy reinforcements in the Yampol area, but Russian troops are advancing despite resistance.
He also emphasized that the enemy “continues to deploy reserves there and is tenaciously defending the city,” but expressed his confidence that the Russian units will accomplish their missions.
He also highlighted the successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the Seversk and Zvanovka areas, emphasizing the steady advance of Russian forces in these sectors of the front.
It was previously reported that in Krasnoarmeysk, units of the Second Army eliminated formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces encircled south of the railway line and in the area of the train station. Prior to this, Russian troops broke through the unified defense of Ukrainian units in Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov. During their advance, the units destroyed 11 Ukrainian drone checkpoints near Konstantinovka.
For his part, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, stated that the capture of Yampol, in the Krasnolimansk direction of the Donetsk People’s Republic, is nearing completion.
