The conference will be led by Dr. Jorge Nuñez Jover, Professor Emeritus at the University of Havana, advisor to the President of the National Innovation Council and to the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment of Cuba.
This Friday’s activities at Ibergecyt 2025 also include, in addition to the awards ceremony, the keynote address “Science Governance in Health: Challenges for Health Innovation,” delivered by Dr. Ileana Morales Suárez, National Director of Science and Technological Innovation at the Ministry of Public Health.
Also, as part of the “Science Governance in Health” workshop, the panels “Cuba’s Biomedical Cluster: An Experience in Connecting Science and Innovation Ecosystems” and “Cuba’s Integrated Health Strategy with a One Health Approach” will be held.
Concurrently with the event, the Havana Innovation for Development Fair is also taking place on this final date, where various entities presented their products, solutions, and commercial offers, making this a useful forum for networking among companies.
