Havana, Nov 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba will host the General Assembly of the Federation of Ibero-American Associations of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration this coming December, officials announced.

The Director General of the Cuban Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Jose Rojo Rodriguez, told Prensa Latina on Thursday that the institution he heads represents Cuba at the International Institute of Refrigeration, the United Nations organization dedicated to this field.

It also holds this representation before the Federation of Ibero-American Associations of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, which is why the latter awarded the island the venue for its General Assembly, to be held on December 1 at the Iberostar Selection Varadero Hotel.

Furthermore, the 12th National Event on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Energy Efficiency, organized by the Cuban entity, will take place on December 2 and 3.

This latest meeting will include the presidents and representatives of various associations, as well as Cuban delegates.

These representatives will include the Ministry of Industries (Mindus), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), BioCubaFarma, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem), and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (Mipymes) from across the country.

The event is sponsored by Havana Club International and the CITMA Ozone Technical Office, according to the source.

It also includes co-sponsorship from the electrical supply company ERKA, the Electronics, Information Technology, Automation and Communications Industry Group (Gelect), and the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Services Division (Frigel).

This meeting is particularly significant for addressing the country’s most pressing economic issues and highlights the efforts of professionals and entities in Cuba’s energy, technology, and communications sectors.
