Cuban Ambassador to Italy, Mirta Granda, and Tourism adviser at the diplomatic mission, Yanet Mora, expressed their gratitude for the wide attendance of tour operators and specialists in the sector.
Mora gave a detailed account of the leading tourist attractions of the “Cuba Unica” campaign, while also emphasizing the qualitative leap in the sector.
The meeting featured Rosa Nieves, director of Cubana de Aviacion airline’s office in Italy, and Donatella Campanile, a sales executive of that airline, who announced a new air route that, starting December 2, will connect the German city of Frankfurt with the Cuban cities of Holguin and Havana.
These flights join those regularly operated by the airline from Madrid, Spain, to Santiago de Cuba and Havana.
Andrea Vecchi, director of the Italian tour operator Criand, noted, “Cuba has returned to the center of the international tourism debate” despite “a distorted narrative constructed on social media and amplified by media campaigns.”
