The agreement was signed by MGIMO’s Dean, Academician Anatoly Torkunov, and TVBrics Chairman Ivan Polyakov at the diplomatic institution’s headquarters.
Both institutions will work to strengthen international relations, promote the Russian language abroad, and develop interaction between professional and expert communities.
The partners’ plans include implementing joint information projects, promoting the results of scientific research, MGIMO’s educational and cultural programs, holding scientific conferences, and strengthening collaboration.
Special attention will be given to promoting the Russian language and Russian education abroad. The joint work of the university and TVBrics aims to improve international relations and strengthen the external positions of Russia and other BRICS member and partner countries.
Torkunov said after the signing that the MGIMO traditionally pays close attention to cooperation with the BRICS-plus countries, and I am confident that the signing of this agreement will give new impetus to the development of joint projects aimed at shaping an objective perception of Russia and our partners in the global media sphere.
