“First of all, we have already said that we consider it impossible and inappropriate to discuss it through the media. We don’t want to do it,” Peskov said at his usual daily press briefing.
The spokesman stressed that Moscow has not yet received any official information about the negotiations between the United States, Ukraine, and European countries in Geneva. He assured, however, that Russia is closely following media reports on the matter.
“We haven’t seen any plan yet. We read the statement that, as a result of the discussion held in Geneva, some adjustments were made to the text we saw previously. Well, we’ll wait. Apparently, the dialogue is continuing, and there will be more contacts,” he added.
Peskov also recalled the statements made on November 21 by Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which he affirmed that Moscow remains open to maintaining contacts and talks with the United States.
Regarding contacts between Moscow and Washington, the spokesman indicated that a meeting between the two delegations is not expected this week.
