Germany advocates for reduced technology regulations

Brussels, Nov 24 (Prensa Latina) German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche advocated for a reduction in European Union (EU) technology regulations.

The minister also called in Brussels for greater use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the German economy.

She said that Germany is making it clear that it wants the opportunity to participate in the digital world and implement AI in industrial processes.

These statements were made by the official after a meeting with representatives of the US government.

Reiche met earlier in Brussels with US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

According to the German minister, it is not only the Americans who criticize European digital legislation. She explained that without the implementation of AI models, there will not be a good future. Therefore, the German government is also in Brussels to promote facilitation.

Reiche specifically cited the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA) as examples. In light of several European Commission proceedings against US companies, including Google, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft, recent criticisms have emerged.
