The meeting, held in the capital, was chaired by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and attended by high-ranking government officials, diplomats, development partners, and youth representatives.
During the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Anouparb Vongnorkeo emphasized that the commemoration provided an opportunity to review joint achievements and renew strategic cooperation.
In this regard, he underscored that UN agencies have contributed to improving livelihoods, reducing poverty, strengthening environmental protection, and supporting the country’s preparation for a sustainable transition.
As part of the agreement reached, both parties decided to deepen cooperation on climate resilience, access to new technologies, and sustainable financing, as well as reinforce support for countries in vulnerable situations.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Bakhodir Burkhanov, noted that the collaboration will prioritize strengthening human capital and expanding access to basic services.
