In a post published through his X account, Rodríguez reffered to the statements of the Chinese government and the ministry that reiterate their firm opposition to the White House blockade against Cuba and calls for an end to this criminal policy.
The island’s Foreign Minister also acknowledged the Chinese authoritie’s call “to withdraw our country from the unilateral list of states allegedly sponsoring terrorism”.
Various media, both Chinese and Cuban, have quoted the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Guo Jiakun, who urged the US administration to heed the international community’s call for justice and immediately lift its sanctions against Cuba.
The Cuban News Agency, reported that the day before that on the eve it referred to the preliminary report of the visit to the Caribbean nation of the United Nations secial reporteur Alena Douhan in which she said that the US policy has serious impacts on Cuba’s economy and humanitarian situation.
Guo stressed that the document is fully in line with the recent resolution calling for an end to the US blockade, adopted by the UN General Assembly.
