“Its designation as a weapon of mass destruction is yet another effort by the United States government to create false pretexts to unleash acts of war against sovereign states in Latin America and the Caribbean, overthrow legitimate governments, and usurp the natural resources of other nations,” he stated in a post on the social network X.
He also denounced the U.S. government’s attempt to ignore the multifactorial origins of its use and the devastation it causes, as well as to cover up the malpractice of pharmaceutical corporations.
“The vast drug market in the United States, the indiscriminate prescription of opioids, amphetamines, and oxycodone; the limited and costly access to healthcare institutions; and other vulnerabilities are some of the realities faced by the citizens of that nation,” he added.
