In a statement released via the X social network, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that it is closely monitoring developments in Venezuela and expressed its concern regarding the use or threat of the use of force.
According to the Ministry, the US military operation jeopardizes regional stability, peace, and the principles of sovereignty and diplomacy that govern the international order.
Indonesia also stressed that the international community must respect the right of the Venezuelan people to decide their own future, without external interference.
The government reiterated its previous call to all parties to prioritize dialogue and fully comply with international law, including the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and international humanitarian law.
He also emphasized the need to protect the civilian population, stating that their safety and well-being must be a priority in the face of rising tensions.
The statement comes after Saturday’s attack in several regions of Venezuela, which included civilian and military installations.
