Ukraine’s allies meet in Paris

Paris, Jan 6 (Prensa Latina) The Coalition of the Willing, a group of countries that support Ukraine, met in this capital to discuss security guarantees for Kyiv in the event of an end to the conflict with Russia.

epresented by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, envoys of President Donald Trump, the Elysee Palace confirmed.

The French Presidency informed that 27 heads of State and Government addressed the modalities for a cessation of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.

Discussions included a Trump-promoted peace plan, which the Europeans are trying to exert less pressure on Kyiv, particularly regarding territorial concessions to Moscow.

The leading countries of the Coalition of the Willing, France and the United Kingdom, sought the deployment of a multinational force to act as a guarantor, an initiative vehemently opposed by Russia.

The Elysee Palace announced that this deployment was one of the issues of the meeting.
