Poland aims for defense contracts

Warsaw, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) The director of the Polish Armaments Agency, General Artur Kuptel, announced today the signing of defense contracts worth $28 billion in 2025.

He stated that in 2025, the Armaments Agency signed approximately 100 contracts worth over 100 billion zlotys (approximately $28 billion).

The general explained that these contracts covered all possible areas of application for the Polish Armed Forces, from land and sea to air and space.

Among the largest contracts signed last year, Kuptel mentioned the purchase of Borsuk infantry fighting vehicles, Leopard tank simulators, passive radars, reconnaissance satellites, AGM-88G AARGM missiles, and AIM-120D3 AMRAAM missiles.

In 2025, Poland’s defense budget reached 4.7 percent of its gross domestic product (GDP), equivalent to $46 billion, according to the Sputnik news agency.

By 2026, Poland’s defense budget is expected to reach 4.8 percent of GDP.
