CSC President Milagros Rivera informed that the brigade members will be in Cuba from July 30 to August 15 of this year, during which they will conduct an extensive program in the provinces of Artemisa, Santa Clara, Matanzas, and Havana.

Rivera explained, “Its members will participate in the Second Meeting of Brigades and Solidarity Projects from countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, and also the United States, among others.”

The activist noted that “everyone will be in Havana to pay tribute to the undefeated Commander Fidel Castro Ruz on his 100th birthday, on August 13, 2026.”

She added, “Fidel has been acknowledged worldwide as humanity’s best friend, and in the case of Puerto Rico, he always demonstrated this since his student days.”

A large group of Puerto Ricans has been traveling to Cuba since 1991 to demonstrate that solidarity cannot be blocked.
