The North Korean news agency KNA highlighted the presence of DPRK Chairman of State Affairs Kim Jong Un at the test, conducted on January 27 by the Missile Management Directorate.

The Secretary General of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) also emphasized on the importance of improving the efficiency and capabilities of the strategic deterrent, which is adapted for use in special attacks.

According to KNA, all aspects of the system were upgraded to achieve maximum attack capacity, and, in particular, its mobility, intelligence, and targeting capabilities were significantly improved. The mobility of the transport truck was also enhanced. Achieving such success was no easy feat, but our scientists and technicians have successfully accomplished the task.

Kim reaffirmed that developing a more reliable offensive capability and using it to practice a deterrent strategy is the Party’s unwavering policy on national defense.
