US attempts to subdue Cuba, a sign of defeat

Havana, Jan 30 (Prensa Latina) The US president's decision to punish countries that export fuel to Cuba is an admission of defeat in attempts to subdue this Caribbean nation.

According to Johana Tablada, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for the United States (DGEEUU) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this measure, based on extravagant lies, pursues interventionist, destabilizing, plundering, regime change, and domination objectives.

On her Facebook profile, the official stated that this act will go down in history as another infamous decree in a long list of aggression, abuse, contempt, and mistreatment by the US government against the Cuban people and those of Latin America.

Tablada asserted that Donald Trump, under the guidance of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, responsible for the harshest and most inhumane measures against Cuba and complicit in the genocide in Gaza, is once again tightening the blockade with unprecedented cruelty and flagrant violations of international law.

Tablada affirmed that by resorting to new threats and extreme measures, the United States is admitting, once again, that it is a lie that Cuba is about to collapse on its own.

She remembered that the U.S. blockade is repudiated by the overwhelming majority of the world’s nations; however, he stated, today we are witnessing a new cowardly act to perfect the policy of suffocation and extermination.

In the statement, Tablada expressed gratitude for the expressions of solidarity with this Caribbean nation in the face of the new onslaught by the U.S. government and reaffirmed Cuba’s will to resist and overcome the challenge.
