“Last year, at least 293 minors suffered the consequences of the criminal acts of Ukrainian militants. Of these, 22 died and 271 were injured or maimed to varying degrees,” the diplomat stated.
In a press conference, Miroshnik added that 1,082 innocent children have been victims of Kyiv’s indiscriminate actions against the civilian population of the Eurasian giant from February 2022 to the present, and of these, “236 will never reach adulthood,” he lamented.
In his annual report, the official specified that since 2014, approximately 936 children have suffered at the hands of Ukrainian Nazis, 345 of whom died.
“Criminal attacks, acts of terrorism, and extrajudicial killings perpetrated by Ukrainian armed groups in 2025 resulted in at least 6,483 civilian casualties, including 5,418 injuries and 1,064 deaths; 1,084 and 256 more than in 2024, respectively,” Miroshnik stated.
The diplomat summarized that, in total, at least 12,381 civilians lost their lives and 27,849 suffered some physical harm in the territories that are now part of Russia since 2014, when Kyiv launched the so-called anti-terrorist operation in Donbas.
Furthermore, Miroshnik reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 130,627 projectiles at Russian civilian targets in the last year, an increase of 42,000 compared to 2014.
