The event, which will be hosted at the Convention Palace, will bring together historians, political scientists, economists, sociologists, jurists, teachers, students and artists from all over the world, giving way to a space for critical and plural debate of the contributions of the Historical Leader of the Cuban Revolution to contemporary thought.
“In the year of his centenary, Fidel Castro Ruz continues to be a beacon of anti-colonial thinking, resistance and struggle for a more just world.
His legacy challenges us in the present and illuminates the paths of the future”, said at a press conference the deputy director of the Centre, Sissi Abay Diaz.
“The meeting proposes to analyze their actions in human dimensions, discuss their influence on liberation movements and geopolitics and explore the reception and projection of their legacy in art, culture, education and science,” he added.
The program of the event will include a meeting of chairs, a symposium and other sectoral forums (youth, parliamentary, women, network of artists and intellectuals and anti-fascist social movements and in defense of humanity).
The discussions and conclusions will be compiled in a publication so that the ideas germinated at the event feed the struggle for the better future to which Fidel dedicated his life.
