Maduro and the First Lady, imprisoned in the United States, were kidnapped on January 3 in an attack on Caracas and other nearby territories ordered by US President Donald Trump.
Last night’s meeting took place at the headquarters of the Central Workers’ Union (CUT), with the participation of diplomatic representatives, jurists, academicians, students, and members of social movements and political organizations.
It also occurred within the context of the growing regional and international mobilization demanding the release of Maduro and Flores, to which Venezuelan Ambassador to Brazil, Manuel Vadell, attended.
Several speakers agreed that the events that occurred a month ago constituted a serious violation of international law, the immunity of heads of State, and fundamental human rights.
