“Today I received President @Isaac_Herzog of Israel for productive talks during his official visit. We discussed relations between Ethiopia and Israel and considered ways to enhance collaboration in areas of mutual interest,” Ahmed wrote on his X account.
Herzog arrived in Addis Ababa for an official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations. Upon his arrival at Bole International Airport, he was received by Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Berhanu Tsegaye.
Later, the Prime Minister visited the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in the capital to honor the enduring spirit of the African nation’s independence.
The mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebe, along with other local officials, led the tour of the site, which serves as a testament to the Ethiopian people’s resistance against Italian colonial forces in 1896.
