“We are armed, prepared, and resolute. Come, we await you,” Ghalibaf declared in a post on the X platform.

The high-ranking Iranian official asserted that millions of citizens have joined a mobilization campaign in recent days, specifying that around seven million people have expressed their willingness to take up arms to defend the country.

He added that defending the nation even entails sacrifice, noting that the Iranian people are prepared to “shed blood” for their homeland, as has already happened in the past.

The statements come in response to recent pronouncements by Trump, who asserted in a speech that Washington has largely achieved its military objectives in Iran, but warned that the next attacks will be “very tough” in the next two to three weeks.

The US president also threatened to drag Iran back to the “Stone Age.”

Meanwhile, US media outlets revealed that the Pentagon is evaluating plans for a possible ground operation in Iranian territory, which could last for two months and include the occupation of strategic areas.
