Cuba grateful with solidarity from European cities

Havana, April 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his gratitude for the demonstrations of support held in several European cities in rejection of the US blockade against the island.

“We thank our friends, members of political and social organizations, and compatriots residing in various European cities for their demonstrations of support for Cuba and their rejection of the genocidal blockade and energy embargo imposed by the US government against the Cuban people,” the Foreign Minister wrote on the social network X. Brussels, Rome, and Paris were the scene of demonstrations in support of the Cuban people. In a context of growing coordination among social, political, and labor organizations, they have conveyed a common message: Cuba is not alone.

These initiatives have focused on denouncing the effects of the blockade on daily life in the archipelago, as well as defending its sovereignty and the right of its people to develop without external interference.

These events also reflect a strengthening of the European solidarity movement with Cuba, which continues to actively oppose unilateral coercive measures.

These demonstrations are a clear consensus on the need to move toward an international order based on respect for international law.

They also reinforce the political message that solidarity with Cuba transcends borders and is growing stronger in multiple spheres, reaffirming the international commitment to defending its sovereignty.
