Under the direction of prima ballerina Viengsay Valdes, general director of the prestigious company, the performances will take place on May 8, 9, and 10, always at 5:00 p.m. local time.
The Magic of Dance is an anthology show that brings together selections of classic ballets in the renowned versions by Alicia Alonso, according to a press release from the BNC.
The titles included are: Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and concluding with the finale of Gottschalk’s Symphony, a synthesis of popular dance and classical academic technique.
The lineup is headlined by the company’s leading figures: principal dancers Viengsay Valdes, Anette Delgado, Dani Hernandez, Anyelo Montero, and Yankiel Vazquez.
Also featured in the program are principal character dancer Ernesto Diaz; principal dancer Gabriela Druyet; soloists Laura Kamila and Alianed Moreno; and other rising artists, including Carolina Estrada, Bertho Rivero, Nadila Estrada, Alejandro Alderete, Carolina Fonseca, and Roque Salvador.
