The military body specified on its official Telegram channel that units of the Eastern Troops Group continued to advance in the enemy’s defenses and, during the last 24 hours, captured the village of Charivnoe in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Ministry of Defense added that the previous day, “as a result of decisive actions by units of the Northern Troop Group, control was established over the settlement of Chaikovka in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.”
According to the ministry, during the week of May 9-15, Ukrainian losses in the area of the military operation exceeded 6,855 personnel. The Central Troop Group suffered the highest number of casualties, with 2,085 personnel, followed by the Eastern (over 1,940), Northern (over 990), Western and Southern (both over 770) Troop Groups, and the Dnieper Troop Group (over 300).
In addition, Ukrainian troops lost 81 armored fighting vehicles, 526 cars, 65 artillery pieces, as well as 44 electronic warfare and counter-battery systems.
Meanwhile, Russian air defenses shot down 18 guided bombs and four US rocket-propelled grenades. Himars, three Neptun long-range guided missiles, and 2,241 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
