He also reaffirmed the Cuban government’s commitment to continue defending the joy of children, which is “a source of daily inspiration in the face of adversity.”
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez also alluded to the date and reaffirmed Cuba’s commitment to the protection, health, and universal and free education of its children.
“No blockade or external threat has the right to steal the life, the smile, and the hope of our future generations,” he stated.
For his part, the Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party, Roberto Morales, referred to the work of Army General Raul Castro with children and young people, highlighting his dedication to those with disabilities. “His personal attention to the cochlear implant program and his constant support for those studying at the Solidarity with Panama School are examples of this.”
“Only a statesman with his sensitivity is capable of bringing members of the government to see and learn from the work of a children’s group like La Colmenita,” he added.
