The statement was made by Carlos Augusto Muller, president of the National Confederation of Water and Air Transport Workers, at the International Labour Organization (ILO) meeting.
During his address, Muller expressed support for the Palestinian people and rejected all forms of aggression against the sovereignty of nations.
He also defended peace, diplomacy, respect for international law, and the self-determination of nations as fundamental principles for confronting current global crises.
He also drew attention to the situation in Cuba and denounced the impact of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against the Caribbean island.
“We decry the unacceptable blockade imposed by the USA on Cuba, which causes suffering and death,” he stated to the delegates at the meeting.
He asserted that, while humanitarian aid is necessary, it is essential to expand international cooperation in strategic areas to contribute to the development of nations.
