Russian army takes over Novi Donbas’ village in Donetsk

Moscow, Jun 16 (Prensa Latina) Units of the Russian Central Group of troops, participating in the special military operation in Ukraine, have taken control of the village of Novi Donbas in Donetsk, the Ministry of Defense announced.

The military body specified this Tuesday on its official Telegram channel that the energetic offensive operations of units from the Central Group resulted in the occupation of the settlement of Novi Donbas, in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The military ministry reported approximately 1,330 casualties suffered by the Ukrainian Army over the past day. The Eastern Group inflicted the highest number of casualties on the enemy, 425, followed by the Central (280), Northern (210), Western (210), Southern (165), and Dnieper (40) Groups.

Ukrainian military losses in the last 24 hours include one tank, 18 armored vehicles, 10 artillery pieces, 72 military vehicles, and one electronic warfare station.

In addition, Russian forces shot down 12 guided bombs, two Flamingo cruise missiles, and 491 drones.
