Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian made this remark on a recent seminar held in Beijing entitled “70 Years of China-Africa and China-Arab Diplomatic Relations: Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future.”
Lin noted that about 200 diplomatic envoys, experts, and academicians from African and Arab countries attended the event both in person and virtually to review the results of cooperation over the last seven decades and discuss prospects.
The spokesperson remembered the establishment of diplomatic ties between the People’s Republic of China and Egypt in 1956, which marked the beginning of relations with African and Arab nations.
The official stated that the relations between the parties have experienced rapid development in the new era and have become an example of cooperation in building a community with a shared future for humanity.
Lin noted that China and its African and Arab partners will continue to strengthen coordination to boost the development of the Global South and advance toward building a community with a shared future.
