Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi affirmed during a press briefing in Islamabad that the implementation of the so-called Islamabad Understanding, signed by Washington and Tehran with Pakistan as a mediator, is facing difficulties.
Quoted by the Dawn newspaper, Andrabi expressed concern about the clashes in the region in the last few days and called on all parties to refrain from taking actions that could further undermine peace and stability.
The official said, “We hope that all parties will maintain their commitment to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve the issues.”
Andrabi emphasized that the disputes can be resolved through negotiations and reiterated that the diplomatic route is essential to achieving a sustainable solution.
