The call for participation in the cultural event, whose theme is “Ancestral Cultures from Contemporary Perspectives,” places the role of academic education in safeguarding intangible heritage at the center of discussion.
Ernesto Angulo, director of the House of Ibero-America, outlined the leading conceptual lines that will guide the visual presentation of the event in this province.
The campaign and visual identity were unveiled during the activities of the 20th Gibara International Low-Budget Film Festival.
The graphic identity was designed by Jose Enrique Aguero, president of the Cuban Association of Social Communicators (ACCS) in Holguin, to depict a contemporary interpretation of the region’s cultural heritage.
This festival, organized by the House of Ibero-America since the 1990s, is one of the leading forums for dialogue to boost the study and dissemination of the shared roots of the region’s peoples.
