PSUV chief dismantles disinformation campaigns against Venezuela

Caracas, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) Diosdado Cabello, Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), reportedly dismantled disinformation campaigns orchestrated through social media and news outlets during and after the June 24 earthquakes.

On his TV show, “Con el Mazo Dando,” Cabello called “rats” and “miserable” those who took advantage of what is considered the “biggest natural disaster” in the country’s history to try to gain political advantage and discredit the humanitarian work of the Venezuelan Government and State.

The political leader noted that those who orchestrate these campaigns “believe that they will change the government and the people will like them, but that is not how it works,” he asserted.

The PSUV leader underscored, “It is a war against a people and a country, and every chance I get, I am going to go out and defend the people.”

Cabello referred, among the dismantled campaigns, to the one created by the “laboratories of evil” against the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (BNAF), which they described as “useless and complicit” in an attempt to erode Chavismo’s leading asset: the unity of the people with that military force, which from the very beginning went to La Guaira, the epicenter of the human and material damage.
