“Both agreed on the interest in strengthening the bilateral economic relationship through mechanisms such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and Mexico’s closer engagement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN),” the Foreign Ministry noted.
According to the ministry’s post on the social media platform X, Velasco expressed his appreciation during the telephone conversation for his counterpart’s invitation to visit Malaysia in the near future.
