Russia to continue to block maritime arms shipments to Ukraine

Moscow, Jul 28 (Prensa Latina) Russia will continue to take necessary steps to block maritime arms and ammunition shipments to the Ukrainian armed forces, the Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday.

The diplomatic institution affirmed on its official website, “We will continue to take the necessary steps to block maritime arms and ammunition shipments to the Ukrainian armed forces.”

Moscow added that “the full responsibility for the consequences falls on the regime of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and its Western allies.”

Russia has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, to protect the Donbas population from “the Kiev regime’s genocide,” according to President Vladimir Putin.

It also aims to counter national security risks posed by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)’s eastward expansion.

Ukraine receives military support from NATO, the military bloc led by the United States, which consists of the United Kingdom and most of the countries of the European Union (EU).
