The AHS reaffirms its call for young art never to come to a halt; consequently, the young artistic vanguard will be present until August 2 at the “Stereo G” electronic music event in Holguín province.
They will also participate in the “Jornada de la Cancion Politica” (Political Song Festival) from August 1 to 4 in Guantanamo, as well as in visits to historical sites, community performances, and the trek to the Rebel Army General Headquarters at La Plata in the Sierra Maestra mountains from August 5 to 9.
The Young Writers’ Gathering—held within the framework of the 34th Havana International Book Fair—and the presentation of the Calendario Awards on the 12th further enrich the AHS summer lineup.
Another initiative of note is the August 13th event in the western province of Pinar del Rio, dedicated to the centenary of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and the Saiz brothers.
The cultural agenda includes community activities, concerts, and discussion forums, as well as a visit to the house-museum where Luis and Sergio Saiz lived and screenings of the documentaries *¿Por que luchamos?* (Why Do We Fight?) and *¿Por que creamos?* (Why Do We Create?).
This month also features the Literary-Artistic Crusade in Camaguey and communities across the provinces of Villa Clara, Sancti Spiritus, and Cienfuegos; the premiere of the music video *Tus 100*; and the “Arte en la Rampa” Cuban Culture Fair at the Pabellon Cuba, the AHS national headquarters.
