Irregular migrants return to Morocco from Ceuta; 67 deaths reported

Madrid, Aug 1 (Prensa Latina) More than 50,000 people who entered Ceuta, Spain, irregularly last Thursday have already returned to Morocco, the Ministry of the Interior confirmed.

The source also indicated that the violent attempts to breach the border fence into Ceuta claimed 67 lives—a preliminary figure that applies to the migrants’ return to the Maghreb nation as well.

The issue has gained international political attention, with a growing number of analysts in Spain pointing to the United States and Israel—acting through Morocco—as parties attempting to destabilize the Iberian nation.

In fact, U.S. President Donald Trump mocked the situation, stating that if Democrats take power, the North American giant would end up just like Spain within three years: “invaded by tens of thousands of migrants.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to react, criticizing Pedro Sánchez’s government for its support of “terrorists” in the Middle East, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, like Denmark, called for Spain’s exclusion from the Schengen Area, prompting Sánchez to demand respect and ethical conduct.

The Spanish head of government also urgently requested a meeting of Interior Ministers from the European Commission—presumably to be held next Monday in Brussels—while condemning the wave of migration into Ceuta from Morocco.
