According to the *El 19* news portal, citing results from the Monthly Employment Survey released by the National Institute for Development Information (INIDE), the open unemployment rate stood at 2.2 percent, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points compared to both June of the previous year and the preceding month.
The report notes that the general labor pressure rate was 8.6 percent; this indicator rose by 2.0 percentage points year-on-year, though it fell by 0.7 points compared to May.
Meanwhile, the national underemployment rate stood at 39.9 percent, representing an increase of 1.9 percentage points compared to June of last year and 0.9 points compared to the previous month.
The survey also revealed that the labor force participation rate reached 64.2 percent, with decreases of 1.8 percentage points compared to June of the previous year and 0.4 points compared to May.
These results are part of the monthly monitoring conducted by INIDE regarding labor market trends in Nicaragua, aimed at tracking the country’s key employment indicators.
